    emoticon Whatever happened yesterday, learn from it but forget it and get right back on the wagon. Start a streak if you can - I had a not-so-good few weeks during the holidays, but I have been on top of my game ever since Jan 2 and I feel great. Each day that passes it gets easier and I feel stronger emoticon

    Hi there! Thanks so much for your comment on my page. I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to know I have made someone else more confident that they can get healthy and fit themselves. It's so motivational, and what keeps me going on my tough days now.

    I think anyone can be a runner, you just have to approach it slow and steady and you'll soon be amazed how quickly your body will adapt and get stronger. Believe me, I started out sloooow but I refused to be embarassed or get discouraged. I've now done many 5ks, one 10k and just started training for a 1/2 marathon in May! It helps to fuel your body right too... my staples are tons of fruit and veggies (fresh, steamed, and baked), lean meat no more than once a day, whole grain bread and oatmeal, cottage cheese, yogurt with granola, and salmon. And lots of water!!
