This was me about a year ago (not too much has changed). But I'm motivated this time!

I started walking in the beginning. I live in AZ so the weather here is nice all year, and that helped. I have actually never stepped foot into a gym this whole time! I started doing strength training about 5 months into it, when I started to plateau on my loss. I started doing the 30 day shred and worked up to more of Jillian Michael's videos. Honestly, I have to follow a video or I just don't work out to my maximum potential! Now I do 3-4 days of cardio and 2 days of strength and take 1 or 2 days off. I lose well with about 5 hours of cardio a week! Food intake is key, I started to lose more when I got very dedicated to tracking my calories on here. I eat 1400-1600 a day, and it works well. I still eat yummy things, but have found that taking one bite and leaving the rest or giving to my naturally skinny bf (jerk!! haha) helps ALOT. You still get the taste of the bad, but not all the calories! I think the key for working out is finding what you like to do. I love walking/jogging. It's the time of the day where I can listen to music and have alone time! I actually look forward to it now!

Edited to add: Distance wise, I started with a mile and worked up. I do about 4 now each time. Takes about an hour, maybe less if I'm bookin it!

Finding delish healthy food is KEY to eating right! I love chicken, so it's easy to find healthy chicken recipes :) Lean ground turkey is also great, I love it in chili and spaghetti sauce!
