"I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions." -- Stephen Covey 8/15/17 -- I added two photos today: pictures of my right and left hands showing my rings. I love my rings and don't want to take them off, but if I had to, I couldn't. That's how much weight I have gained. So I have to change. No alternative. I need to live by words in the next paragraph that I wrote a while ago: In the power of God, it is time to give up old habits that have lead me down a path of destruction. Every day, every moment is a new opportunity to follow God in healthy living! A fellow pastor's wife has a motto: Giving up is not an option. I like that. I can't give up when I've come so far! I was made for more: "God, I recognize I am made for more than the vicious cycle of being ruled by food. I need to eat to live, not live to eat. So, I keep asking for Your wisdom to know what to eat and Your indwelling power to walk away from things that are not beneficial to me." Lysa TerKeurst, "Made to Crave" I was made to worship God. All I do should be to give glory to Him. Live life with no regrets. If you do, you'll spend more time thinking about what you should have done rather than what you can do. Instead, bloom where you're planted! There is no reason you cannot reach your goals! These are not my words, (and if the author of them happens upon my SparkPage I'd love to credit you!), but they are so inspiring to me I wanted to post them here. It's another way to think about rainbows: "It reminds me of God's promise not to flood the earth again. I'm thinking maybe He's wanted to a time or two since Noah.....but He always keeps His Word. So, I'm using this little rainbow as a model for my prayer as I start this weight loss journey (again) and asked God for the strength not to "flood" my body w/ stuff that's not good for me. I'll want to from time to time......but I'll try to remember how my Father keeps His promises and draw from that strength"

My Goals:
For the week of March 27th:

1. Track everything I eat.
2. Stay within calorie range for 5 out of 7 days.

One day at a time to:

Stay close to God.
Eat mindfully.
Eat healthfully.

My Program:
Track what I eat.

Strength training 3 times a week.

Do cardio for 30 minutes 2 days a week, and at least 10 minutes a day for the rest of the week.

Personal Information:
My husband is a pastor, and we are empty nesters now, with one son living in Germany and the other in another city.

Other Information:
It's hard to work at my desk with a cat on my lap.

It struck me as funny that "Shoveling Snow" is under Favorites on my fitness page. Shoveling snow! It's my favorite thing! Hahahahahaha!

    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl. If you decide this might be for you you can leave your name on the waitlist for the Spring challenge.
