Well, I began my weight loss journey in June 2009 at 129 pounds. I set out to lose 17 pounds, because I really wanted to be at 112. It took me about 6 months to get down to 115, where I stayed. I never made it to 112, but that was okay. I lost two jeans sizes. I was strong, happy, healthy, and active. I was running, biking (indoors and out), and using the "ChaLEAN" program to good success. I completed (poorly! but completed!) a sprint distance triathlon in September 2010. Then, in January 2011 I got pregnant - YAY! - and I have been feeling pretty horrible about my body image since about April 2011.

It's now June 20, 2011. I am out of school for the summer (teacher, here) and ready to re-focus on being healthy and strong.

Fitness Minutes: 5,665

My Goals:

- At most, weigh no more than 150# at birthing time. That is a 30 - 35# weight gain over the entire pregnancy.


- Exercise every single day, at least 45 mins

- Use various toning videos

- Use Bar Method Pregnancy video 3x per week


- Re-build good eating habits, which will basically consist of a little bit of portion control and saying no to the temptation of sugar. I crave disgusting processed sugar things that used to make my teeth hurt: sweet tarts, skittles, ice cream, soda ...

Exercise every day, using a combination of:
- Toning DVDs
- Bar Method DVDs
- Walking
- Eliptical
- Swimming
- Prenatal Yoga

Ease up on the sweet treats.

Personal Information:
I teach middle school humanities at a small independent school in the city. I love my job!

Other Information:
I am a cyclist by nature, living car-free in the big city. During the school year I commute the measly six miles round trip via bicycle most days.
