Hello! I'm a 48 year old married mother of two. The kids are almost 13 and 16 and keep me very busy. My husband and I own our own business. I am lucky to work from home. I am involved with several organizations and maintain a very busy life. I don't take much time for myself and have gained way too much weight. I want to get healthy for me. I want to be a good example for my kids.

I started out last summer journaling what I ate every day. This started at the end of May 2008 when I weighed 206. I lost 11 pounds by myself. On July 9, 2008, I happened upon this site! Thank goodness. I began the journey with Sparkspeople that day at 195. I hope to get the weight off this time. I've tried every DIET. They don't work. I weighed 181 two years ago and gained a bunch back! STRESS! I'm committed again to do it this time. With this site and all of my new friends, I know I can!

I then fell off the wagon terribly after getting down to 157 pounds and TONS AND TONS of stress. We had a tornado and my husband and daughter were in a terrible wreck, thankfully they are ok. My weakness is stress and I am a terrible STRESS EATER! I am back up to 185 and will not gain another pound! It is time to get back on track. I know I can!

Personal Information:
I am from Southern Illinois. I am married to a wonderful guy. 19 years and going. I live in the country with two kids, two lakes and 4 dogs. I love to cook and spend time with my family! My favorite place to vacation is the sunny beach!

Other Information:
I love to watch Oprah, The View, cooking shows, Clean House, and You Are What You Eat. I enjoy reading when I get the chance. My favorite books are self help books, cookbooks and biographies.
