I am a mother of three, and 10 year old son and twin 8 year old girls. I am a vet tech and collage student working on getting my RVT license ( a RN for pets).
I was always a skinny child, it wasn't until I was 20 that my love affair with food began. I got very depressed after the birth of my twins when all my childhood trauma resurfaced and sort of stayed in that place for years. Food was my comfort, it was always there for me when others wern't. I started to pack on the pounds, 90 of them in 8 years.
I have tried to lose weight in the past but always failed because I kept reaching for food for comfort. I suffered from what my grandmother calls over active elbow disorder ( just keep shoveling that food in).
I come from a long line of overweight people. I just kind of accepted that this was my fate.
I have had some life altering events as of late and have finally found the motivation to lose the weight and keep it off with a healthy life style. I MUST show my kids that fat is NOT their fate, and that they need to develop heathy lifestyles too. Now only if I could get my husband to stop smoking!!

My Goals:
Well honastly my goal is to not only lose weight, but mainly to live a healthier lifestyle. I have a very bad gene pool in regards to health problems. MY chances of cancer and/or diabetes are EXTREMELY high. After seeing my grandmother lying in a hospital bed because of these illness it beaks my heart. I can't do that to my children, or myself. I must lead a healhtier lifestlye. I would love to run around and be active with my kids instead of being too tired or winded to keep up with them.

My Program:
I am still learning how to eat right. But my big motivation in exercise right now is walking my 2 hyperactive dogs. Walking them around my neighborhood for 30 minutes a day really tires them out and makes them calmer. So I'm killing 2 birds with 1 stone!!!
I'm starting to do basic strength training also. I am taking it slow due to a recent reinjury to my ankle and my chronic back problems.
