    Good Morning Christy... I hope you're keeping warm today!

    I have read both of the comments below mine with regards to the calorie range and they are both right on target.

    I tracked all my meals for the first year. For now, I'm allowing myself to use what I've learned and take a break from putting my food in every day. I know from experience I am eating around 1700 calories a day. If you exercise a good bit, (and it sounds like you do) you do need to up your calories. I was in a rut at one point, trying to eat between 1200-1400 calories and when I upped my calories to 1600-1800 I started losing more. Crazy I know, but it's true.

    I too love to eat. As a matter of fact, we went to Pizza Hut last night. Every Thursday we walk to Pizza Hut and get a medium thin crust pizza with pepperoni. I have 3 pieces and a regular Pepsi. (this is the one Pepsi I have all week, I was a Pepsiholic!) After we eat, we walk from there to downtown, and then up High St and back home. We figure the walk burns off some of the calories from the pizza. We have done this every week since starting Spark so it hasn't hurt my weightloss. Remember though it's a THIN crust MEDIUM. We also go to Middletown and Dover and eat out a lot. When we do this, I just eat a lighter lunch to compensate, and still make healthy choices when ordering. I've never eaten at McDonald's or Arby's since starting Spark; they just seemed to be full of fat and not much "good". I try and get lots of fruits and veggies, which is hard when you like to eat out. Last night when I got home from Pizza Hut, my son had made some of those Pillsbury slice and bake cookies. I ate two. It's not the end of the world, you just can't do it day after day.
    Sorry to ramble such, but on a final note, I do exercise a good bit, which I feel allows me to eat how I do and still lose or maintain. I ride my bike (on a stand) 30 minutes a day, plus I do the Biggest Loser Cardio every other day. On the "other" day my hubby and I take a morning walk, downtown and back. In addition, if you ever see someone walking along the road, it's probably me. I only drive if I'm going out of town. I walk to the Acme or Super Fresh for groceries and to the bank.

I usually am behind so you may need to go back a few days. I typically eat around 1600 calories a day and try to get in exercise burning 340-350 on the elliptical. I lose weight pretty slowly... usually only 2-4 pounds a month but I take what I can get! Best to you and make 2009 your year to SPARKLE.

    Hi Christy! That's so cool you live in RH. I thought for sure when you said you lived on the Chesapeake it would be like near the VA border or somewhere like that! Just think, we've probably seen each other in the Acme.

    I just have to ask, where do you go to the gym???? Is there one in RH or do you have to drive to Kent Wellness? Is there a Curves perhaps? Just curious.

    We live in the house behind our townhomes. I wondered when I'd meet someone who actually lives near me.

    You're lucky, you've never let your weight get out of hand like I did. It's still not easy to stay focused is it? You're doing great, keep it up!

    Thanks for stopping by my page. I know having 3 grand kids must be even more fun than just 1. I cant wait. I see you are down 10 pounds which is a good start. It goes steady and easy when you are truly into a lifestyle of eating right. I threw the word diet out of my vocab. I gain and lose and gain etc on diets. I am going to be healthy. Good luck to you.
