I am a 29 year old stay at home mom of 3 awesome kids and wife of a wonderful dental student! I lost about 30 lbs 3 years ago-about a year before I got pregnant with #3. I made the mistake of eating whatever I wanted during my pregnancy, and unfortunately I am back to where I was before. I know I can do this though, and I am ready to change for the better and make this a permanent lifestyle change!!! My extra motivation is that now, both of my parents have type 2 diabetes. If I don't take care of myself, I WILL have it also. There is no question.

“How can a woman be expected to be happy with a man who insists on treating her as if she were a perfectly normal human being.”

"All your life you are told the things you cannot do. All your life they will say you're not good enough or strong enough or talented enough; they will say you're the wrong height or the wrong weight or the wrong type to play this or be this or achieve this. THEY WILL TELL YOU NO, a thousand times no, until all the no's become meaningless. All your life they will tell you no, quite firmly and very quickly. AND YOU WILL TELL THEM YES."

"I ain't settling for just getting by, I've had enough so-so for the rest of my life. Tired of shooting too low, so raise the bar high"

"A great attitude does much more than turn on the lights in our worlds; it seems to magically connect us to all sorts of serendipitous opportunities that were somehow absent before we changed."

Hello there, my friend! I hope you're doing well. I've been struggling, but I think I've had a break-through - in my thinking, anyway, which is where it all begins!

Oh I wish i could burn that much a day! Thats what i try to do a week! I only burn 250 cal. a day (and i only work out 3 - 4 days a week.) I have started protien shakes for breakfast, and i was feeling good.. but i have to admit Easter beat me up! Im having a hard time this week after letting myself eat whatever on the weekend! Man it doesnt take long to trick your mind into telling you crap eh? (the guilt, and your mind telling you just to give in and have another chocolate!) Well back at it tomorrow, and back to the gym. How was your Easter? I hope you were stronger than me :)

Hey there.. okay i have a question for you (you seem to really know what your doing, i trust your judgment!) I just bumped up my fitness tracker so that I am burning 1700cal a week.. and Im trying to eat at the low end of my food scale 1200ish... is that lame? lol... I 've been noticing some people really work out hard like 1000cal a day!!! I am not working hard enough to loose any weight? I only have an hour a day, i spend most of my time jogging then i do some weights and floor work. Still stuck.. I know it will move eventually,, i was just browsing today and noticed how many cal. some people burn a day, and started wondering if that might be my issue? I burn around 250cal at the gym jogging.
thank you for all your help!
