It has been a long journey that landed me here!! Jan 2014 Broke my leg..had surgery and was stuck in bed in a full leg brace... had to work hard to walk again with an over extended leg and a below full extension leg... went from wheelchair travelling around to crutches to a cane! Sept 2014 Ditched the cane was doing well end of Oct 2014 My family home burned down and I was fire displaced at my boyfriends home. Re-injured my leg in fire had to restart physio for my leg.. and started taking things for anxiety ad sleeping issues. (the fire was a very traumatic event) Nov 2014-Jun 2015 Still lived with my boyfriend.. we got a chihuahua puppy in November and he is like our baby! I started eating and making more foods from scratch but we still ate out quite a lot!! Jun 2015 Took a trip to Malaysia & Singapore took my cane and glad I did! still needed cane for long walks! We got engaged the day after we got home from our trip.. unfortunately the ring was not here before we left it arrived the day after we flew to London! Jul 2015 Started my mission of healthier eating .. small simple changes and challenging myself to find alternatives for faves! Since lunches were a big issue for eating bad the fiance and I made mass batches of healthy soups and froze them to bring to work to cut back on processed food and unhealthy trips to the coffee shop for treats! Aug 2015 Joined spark.. Hopefully this will be the kick I need to get my life on track and make healthier choices. My fiance is extremely active, plays squash 3-4 days a week if not more.. he also runs on his off days and takes our chihuahua baby for walks most every day even if I stay home. It's been a long hard road that has brought me here..I just think it's time I take back my body.. I am a young engaged woman with a puppy who barely ever sleeps let alone actually cooks.. I do love myself.. i'm not changing because media influences that is just stupid i just need to get healthy.. I don't want to miss out on life. Jan 2017 I kinda left here after only a month I continued to struggle. I joined WW but with lack of will power reinjury and too many daily points I easily found a way to manuipulate the system... lost 20 ish lbs then gained ten back while still "trying" to lose!! I am now in 2017 being strict with myself! I have joined ideal protein it is the strictest thibg I could find the end on Jan will mark my first 3 weeks. On week two I'm already down 15.4! I can't manipulate the system and I have not had my diet soda since Jan 10th!

    no worries. i actually was off the grid for a bit because i didn't have internet at home. i hope that things get back to normal for you. real life sure does have a way of throwing us off track. lol.

    Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

    1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

    2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

    The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!
