Well, I’ve been here before and closed my account for a while. I needed to regroup and start fresh. I have hypertension and type 2 diabetes and need and want to lose weight. I now realize how spark people really helped me in the past and I needed to get back on track. I missed all the great people, all the articles that got me thinking about a healthy life , challenges, and accountability, etc. and now have recommitted to making this work. I got this!!!

Today I am committing to the Spring 5% Weight Loss Challenge. I will eat smaller portions, but will not limit foods, just moderation and low carb portions. This is not a diet but a lifestyle change.

My Goals:
My goal is to live a healthy life, get off some of my blood pressure meds and keep my blood sugars in control. I figure it is never to late to start.

My Program:
I will be watching my carb counts and will eat smaller portions- everything in moderation.

Personal Information:
Married to the love of my life for 48 years, have 4 grown children and 7 wonderful grandkids. I am retired and love life. I always try and keep a positive attitude. I’m retired. I was an appointment coordinator at a cancer center for 11 1/2 years. One of the most rewarding things I have ever done.

Other Information:
I enjoy cooking, listening to music, crocheting, and working crossword puzzles, soduko. I love to take leftovers or whatever I have in fridge and turn it into soup and healthy meals. i’m always Looking for healthier recipes to cook. I also enjoy working on Genealogy .I enjoy reading cookbooks like some people read novels.I have a lot of cookbooks
