Introduction Text 2009 has been a fantastic year for me! I took control of my life! I joined Sparkpeople in February and I lost 30 lbs. I started running and found a new passion...I completed 3 5ks and 1 half marathon. I decided I wanted to go back to school, and I completed my first semester back after 9 years. My kids are healthy and happy and my marriage is stronger than it has ever been. It all started with sparkpeople! It all started with that first step! I slacked off of sparkpeople thinking I could still lose on my own....although I havent gained (which is great) I haven't lost anymore either. So with the beginning of a new year, there are always new goals. So I am starting fresh! 1st race-----May 16th---31:45 2nd race----May 30th----31:01 3rd race----October 31---half marathon---2:27:00 4th race----thanksgiving---5k----30:??

1) train for and complete a full marathon 2) hit my goal weight 3) continue a high grade point average in school

My program is to stop eating CRAP and get my butt off of the sofa!

I am a 37 year old mother of 2 boys! I have been married to my best friend for over 12 years! I was born and raised in New Orleans, But Hurricane Katrina brought us here to Houston...and we loved it so we stayed!

Guilty Pleasures: 1) reality TV 2) Goat Cheese 3) Coffee 4) shoes! 5) crime dramas
