No matter what stage of life you're in, it's hard to find time to exercise. But it's always important. You don't have to go to the gym or work out an hour a day to be healthier. Find small ways to be more active in your everyday life and soon you'll realize that your small changes add up to BIG changes. Our bodies are made to be active, not to sit in front of the TV or computer all day.
I've always had a passion for helping others get active, but wasn't sure what to do at this stage of my life to be "doing" instead of "wishing". Then I realized SparkPeople was a great way to do what I can, for now. So I'm spreading the word and trying to get people moving. We only get one body, so let's take care of it. :-)

Fitness Minutes: 54,322

My Goals:
Exercise 5 days a week.
Drink 64 oz of water every day.
8,000 steps on my pedometer every day.

My Program:
C25K 3 days a week. I've been doing Wii Fit Plus on my off days, but that's not giving me enough of a workout. I'm going to have to go back to my old routine of rotating through various DVDs so I don't get bored or plateau: yoga, pilates, tae bo, Abs of Steel, Buns of Steel, Sparkpeople: Fit, Firm & Fired Up, Leslie Sansone's Power Mile, on my off days. I'll still play on the Wii Fit Plus with the kids. It helps get them moving when it's too hot or cold to go outside.

My name is Amanda. I live south of Atlanta. I'm a homeschooling mom and a Pampered Chef consultant. Just trying to be healthy to be a good example for my family. I've recently started a blog sharing natural health & wellness information (I'm not selling anything.)

    Thanks for the kind words on my blog. It took me a bit to get the hula hoop and i'm still not the greatest for every 1 good hooping i drop it several times lol... but i'm proud i can do this much.
