I've been using SparkPeople since Spring of 2011, although there was a long break after my wedding when I didn't log in.

Now, after 7 years of marriage and 2 kids, I'm back to SparkPeople to lose the pregnancy weight and feel GREAT as I fly trough my late 30s.

Fitness Minutes: 86,961

My Goals:
Goal #1 - Lose 30 pounds before September (Goal weight of 130!)
Goal #2 - Maintain "healthy" weight for 6 months through exercise 30 minutes or more 4 or more times per week.
Goal #3 - Spread the spark to my husband and help him lose his "pregnancy weight" by the end of 2018!


My Program:
I use a standing desk at work, which helps me get my step count up every day. Some days I even walk to the office!
I have a brand new raised bed garden, and hope that will help me eat some SUPER fresh produce once it starts ripening.
I chase around my 2.5 year old, and lug around my 3 month old, and we all go to the YMCA together (even hubby!)
I work on positive self-talk every day. The more I tell myself "I can do it!" the more true it becomes!
I hope to add a dog back into my life very soon. We've picked a fence company, so maybe in the next few months..!

    Hey....what state do you live in? You and I have very similar goals and our starting and goal weights are very similar too (not sure how tall you are, but I'm just slightly taller than 5'2"). I'm in Michigan and am looking for a workout buddy.

    When I tell people they don't need to lose weight and I scoff at their complaints about an extra pound or two or ten, it's not because I'm criticizing them but because I think they're crazy that they don't see how great they already look. I mean, if they want to lose more and look better, that's great. More power to them. But they shouldn't put themselves down because they look good already. I guess it's a body compliment within a mental insult? Lol Maybe I need to rethink how to give the compliments. But those people are stick thin.

    As for you, you look good and if you're overweight then only good can come from losing some pounds. So long as you don't get a negative view of yourself which is sooooo easy to get and keep. Every time I look in the mirror I shudder so I'm obviously still working on that self-image aspect.

    Good luck meeting your goals! And congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!

    Whether you have 1 lb or 100+lbs to lose your goals are still as legit as anyone elses. Sure, others might look at you and see you as being rediculous or silly. But its all about finding whats right for you!

    Me--if I could weigh my glorious weight of 250+ and FEEL ok, then you know my happy arse wouldnt be on this wagon. But the problem is, that I dont feel great and I WANT to look good...so here I am.

    So cmon girl. Saddle up and lets ride! Shake your booty today!! Youll be lookin good in no time!
