I have been struggling with weight issues for as long as I can remember being aware of my body, so I would say since I was a teenager. My whole family is overweight, my mum being morbidly obese since as far as I can remember her. I always had this fear to end up like her, but I am definitely not going to. I am a proud mother of 2 daughters, and I want to give them a good image of themselves, and good eating habits...
I thought of a reward system for mini goal along the way, because the length of it - I know it - can make me fail.
73 kg (160lbs) (BMI = 28.5)- Feb. 20th 2012
69.9 kg (154lbs) (BMI = 27.3) : buy myself a massage
65 kg (144lbs) (BMI = 25.4): shopping trip in the USA!
60 kg (134lbs) (BMI = 23.4): buy nice heels
55 kg (121lbs) (BMI = 21.5): romantic get away for the week-end with my husband (and without the kids, for the 1st time)
50 kg (110lbs) (BMI = 19.5): buy that perfect little black dress in what is now my size
47 kg (105lbs) (BMI = 18.5) I have to say that I have a very small bone structure, and that my BMI will probably be higher than that in real life!: an entire day of pampering at the spa
3 months maintain : pole dancing class (!)
6 months maintain : ask a surprise from my husband
9 months maintain : buy myself a nice piece of jewelry
12 months maintain : one week holiday in the Carribean or Las Vegas!
(I have a small frame, and I am only 5'2'', which explain why I'd like to be 105lbs, even if it will depends, because if I feel fine at 120lbs, I will just stay there!)

    If you know your eating plan is reasonable, allowing you more than just the minimum amount and variety of food, then all you can do when times are rough is to get back to your guidelines as soon as possible. If you think your struggles are related to being too limited in the amount or range of foods. try to calmly sit down and think about the situation. Where can you make legitimate concessions for your total well-being?
