hi! i'm a 35 yo female living in the gorgeous california foothills. i have a wonderful boyfriend, great family, fantastic friends, wonderful stepkids and fun pets whom i love. i have been a "big girl" all of my life, and while i accept being plus sized, i do not like my current weight and body shape. i would like to get back to being a size 14-16 which for me is about 185 pounds; for me this is when i think i look and feel my best. i do have endocrine problems, and a condition called metabolic syndrome that makes it very difficult for me to lose weight.

My Goals:
My goals for the rest of 2009 are not just about fitness and weight loss... although those are two main ones... i also want to get back ontrack with my education, try to use more organic foods, be a better budgeter with money.

My Program:
I work out nearly every day for 30 minutes a day on my new WII FIT! I love it!! The games are so fun, and the yoga and strength training really kick your butt! I have unlocked some advanced exercises and reps now and I have lost two pounds in a week since starting eleven days ago.

Personal Information:
I'm a born and bred california girl, originally from the bay area. My father is Cherokee and we belong to the Lakota Sioux nation as well, and my mother immigrated to the US from Japan when she was a child. I am quite the mix!

Other Information:
I work graveyard shifts and need quick, easy and healthy meals to prepare. I get tired of eating the same thing over and over... Browsing around I found some delicious recipes that had come from this website so I thought I would join! Its also nice to have a food journal to make me more concious of portions.
