Introduction Text I'm a boomer living in the metro Phoenix area. I've been a member of SparkPeople since 2012 but only became serious about my weight loss and healthy lifestyle journey in July, 2015. Get off your butt and out of your rut; my wisdom for today!

Want to get more active and loose weight and gain more energy in the process so I can enjoy family activities including playing with my grandchildren!

In July 2015, I started tracking/logging my food intake and also increasing my activities. I use a FITBIT and various walking DVDs and exercise videos on SparkPeople. Love the challenges and encouragement I get from SP!

I am from the Metro Phoenix area, 62 years old, retired from federal service 4 years ago. Two awesome people call me Mom and three awesome young ones call me Nana. DH and I have been married for over 44 years and I have been overweight or obese for 75% of that time. Oh yea, I have one fur baby, a tiny Chihuahua who is a faithful walking companion.

Now that I am in the Onderfuls, my next goal is to be "overweight" as opposed to "obese" according to my BMI.
