Hello and welcome to my page! If you couldn't guess, my name is Cathy. We sold our home in Colorado and bought 13 acres of forested land on the edge of the Mark Twain National Forest here in southern Missouri. We don't have any children other than our cockatiels that we call our feathered puppies. :-))

August 2017 - We moved back to Colorado!! So happy to be back in my home state and to be near family again.

My husband and I make video games for a living from our home. We work well together and love that we get along so well.

Life has dealt me plenty of punches starting with my first surgery at the age of 5. At 9 I had a brain tumor removed that damaged my right optic nerve and destroyed my pituitary gland. As a result I'm legally blind in my right eye and have to take medicines for the rest of my life to make my body function normally. I've had multiple surgeries and broken bones over the years since then but I will not let anything stop me from becoming a better me physically and mentally.

Thank you for stopping by and checking on me. I have to go get a second opinion on Monday. I go to a specialist a couple hours away from here. Monday at one-I think they will be doing a biopsy or MRI-not quite sure yet. I am just ready to get it over with and know the results for sure. Hoping it isn't cancer.

Austin Box was a football player from the town I live in and he played football for the Oklahoma Sooners-they found him dead this morning at a friends house. He was taking pain meds for a back injury-we think he overdosed. Our town is just missing him. He was a great guy-22 years old.

You are a great cheerleader! Your friendship has helped keep me going especially the last couple of weeks since I fractured my left foot. Believe me throwing my hands in the air and saying I Quit did cross my mind. You know that little voice of mine came out and said that I was no Quitter! My guardian angel is right I am not a Quitter. Thanks for all of your support and friendship!

Cathy, thank you for the encouragement that you give me by being my friend. I feel blessed with many friends here. One of the big reasons I stay with SP.

LOVE emoticon your blog on what motivates you! It's that motivation of taking baby steps that turns into habit that then turns into routine...it's all good sweetsie! emoticon

emoticon Thanks for the nice comments on my recent blog about motivation. It is so frustrating to keep trying to stay on track, think you're doing okay, and then see two more pounds on the scale. That happened this morning and I was depressed for a little while, but I shook it off. This is all part of the journey and I have to admit that I have not been exercising consistently and need to work on that.
I will do this - I have faith in myself - that's the beauty in Spark.
    Stay positive!
