I am 24 and have been struggling with my weight for as long as I can remember. I was always the chubby kid in school, except for a few years in highschool where I somehow managed to lose all my baby fat but still felt that I wasn't thin enough. So basically, I have spent most of my life wishing I were smaller and although I was exercising quite a bit, it wasn't until I changed the way I ate that I actually started losing weight.

Since seriously comitting to Sparkpeople in January 2010, I have managed to lose between 20-24 lbs depending on the week/day. I had stopped tracking my food because I felt that I was doing well and didn't need to anymore as I was between 121 and 126 from about September 2010 to September 2011. I think I can attribute that success to healthy eating (because I was living on my own and could really control what I ate) and a high-stress life of doing Masters studies (not exactly healthy...).

Since being back home mid-August 2011 I know I have gained weight even though I haven't weighed myself because my clothes are tight. I am NOT happy with the way I look and am determined to get back on track. I know working out is not the problem because I am pretty consistent with working out 4-6 days a week. It's the diet that's killing me. I need to make healthier food choices and be more aware of what and how much I'm eating. 2012 is a new year and I am determined to make it the best year of my life health/fitness wise!

I've decided that I am not going to weigh myself for a while. I am going to take progress pictures and measurements instead and base my fatloss on a pair of jeans I own that I fit into last year. The scale just depresses me and it isn't always accurate.

I am looking forward to moving out in March and being back in control of what I'm eating and also being able to try new exciting recipes with my boyfriend. I think this will make a big change in how I feel and look. I'm also looking forward to keeping up with bodyrock this year and running a half marathon with my sister!

Hey there! The workout line I found on Netflix is called "Crunch" and there are at least 20 different videos available to stream instantly - in the US that is... good luck finding it!!!

I'm doing the CLX and TF hybrid. (Are you doing insanity or Turbo Fire?) I think we are on the same day, because I finished week 1 last night. That's funny! (It was ab burner and recharge.) I'm still feeling my glutes and hamstrings from those "screamers" the other day. Yow, good stuff.
You'll probably get ahead of me because I'm going to need to miss (aka "rest") more than one day each week. I'm also running/training for a 10K, and sometimes I just have to choose one or the other because of time constraints.

You'll love Burn 1! And it only gets better (even though you may be a little sore--so worth it!) I'm just finishing week 1.
I see you're doing Eat to Live as well. Good luck--this challenge is so helpful for me, I love it.
