I chose to leave SP Land for a season, as my physical health was being compromised and I needed to REST! So, I have had my rest and I have returned to continue on this healthy lifestyle change journey, that God had me start. I know for certain that, "He who began a good work, is FAITHFUL to COMPLETE it!" Philippians 1:6

When I started on this journey, I weighed in at 388 lbs. and I did reach my goal weight of 170 lbs. Then things started happening and I ended up back in a wheelchair, which I have fought so hard to stay out of.

When things started leveling out, with me being in the wheelchair, I came back to SP Land, when I saw my weight shoot up to 260 lbs. I knew I needed help and I knew where to get it from, so I came back to familiar turf, to work my body, as best as I could to get this weight off.

The doctors have found out how I became wheelchair bound and it is a thing called Spinal Stenosis. You see everybody's spine is hollow and all of our nerves go through our spine. Nerves that tell us how to move our arms and legs. Nerves that tell us where we hurt and how much pain we are in. Now, here comes the Stenosis part. That means that your spine is no longer hollow and somewhere, and it may be in different areas the spine, has pinched the nerves, and the nerves that are being pinched on me, are the ones that tell me how to walk. I know of four different areas that my spinal nerves are being pinched, and I am just waiting for the surgeon to give me an appointment, to fix EVERYTHING!

The surgeon has weighed in and let me know that the best thing I could do since they do not recommend surgery is to go to their PRC (Pain Rehabilitation Clinic) and I will be going to the Mayo Clinic for that clinic. My target date is in May of 2018 and the doctor and nurse assured me that I would be out of my chair walking again and doing my 5Ks next year. This will be the beginning of my journey in making God's Temple WHOLE!!! All this will be done in the Mighty, Matchless, and Marvelous Name of Jesus the Christ, AMEN!!!!
