I did so well on Spark People for a year and then as I have done in the past I let life get in the way of my health.

I now feel it is critical for me to lose. Suddenly I feel if I don't do something now my heath is in real jeopardy. When we are feeling fairly healthy and have gotten away with bad eating habits we let all those excuses get in the way of dealing with our weight.

All in all I know that I can do this if I choose to. I remember once hearing Dr Phil say you continue to do things the same way if you are getting something out of it. Let us all look deeply into whatever it is we are getting from overeating. Whether it be comfort food, control or the pleasure of eating foods we like. We can control this if we set our minds.

I am now facing bad labs. I am very close to Diabetic and my doctor will check again in 4 months. I think she is willing to work with me to get them down but I think she doesn't expect progress next time. But I know I will make great strides. This is serious. I do not want to be Diabetic.

I lost 3 today. That is 6 in the past two weeks. I can do this. It is only food!

I am back to tracking my food and taking care of me. Please join me!

I hope you had a happy Mother's Day. My kids came over to spend some time. We all wore masks when son and daughter-in-law were here, as we haven't seen them in awhile and she's diabetic, so worried about getting Covid since she's higher risk. Once they left to visit her parents, the rest of us took off our masks. I watch my grandson all the time whenever my daughter has to run an errand, so since we're around each other all the time, it's about the same as if we lived under the same roof. Gave my grandson a haircut - a bit choppy since he didn't sit still very much (was probably a mistake to put him on the swivel chair). Turned out ok though. Was supposed to give my hubby a haircut too, for over a week now, but he decided to wait until tonight. I used to cut his all the time until he finally found someone who he liked (we all go to her). Not that I minded cutting his, it's just that he would wait until inconvenient times, like when we're getting ready to go to worship!

I live with my son. He is working at home. Both of us are fine but allergies are getting the best of us. We stay at home most of the time except to pickup food. We stay in the car for a short ride to relieve boredom.

I am glad you are in Florida now working on your house. It sounds like you have a lot of work to do. No chance to get bored.

    Take care. Lily

Glad my blog made you smile. I have even more of these now, so I guess it's time to do a 3rd one.

I wish I could cut my own bangs. LOL They are always crooked.Cow licks don't help.

I talked to my hairdresser too. she has decided to close for a while. Boy it will be hard to get appointments.

Our hair stylist has her own business. She's only open a few days a week, and I know she watches her grandson at least once a week. But I'm guessing once she opens, she may extend her hours and even add another day or two each week until she gets caught up, both to help her clients and to help make up for the days she had to close, since she still has bills to pay even if she's not open.
