My story is long, so I'll keep it short...for now. I was heavy all my life, then lost weight. Not only did I lose weight, but I got lean enough to compete in figure competitions. I even won a show. But after a few years, I became obsessed with perfection. I burned out, developed disordered eating, and hit rock bottom. In a nutshell, I couldn't keep up.

Life has come full circle for me. I'm starting over. Now, I'm trying to find balance between exercise, eating clean, and living life.

Because THIS time, when I lose weight and get fit, it will be FOREVER.

My Goals:
To find my true "Happy Weight."

I don't go by the BMI because I love to lift weights and my muscles respond rapidly; therefore, my body will never be teeny tiny. Those charts don't work for me (or the majority of the population).

My goal is to find ACCEPTANCE of my body, not SATISFACTION. The latter is just impossible. The former is doable.

My Program:
Current Program: 5/15/15

At home workout:

Starting the Fitness Blender 8 week program. Also incorporating TRX suspension training.

1. Wife to the greatest man in the universe whom I lovingly refer to as "Biff." He, in turn, calls me "Buffy" (don't ask). And since my trust in internet security is pretty much non- existent, you can call me "Buffy" too. :)

2. Mom to the best kids in the world (and you thought your kids were the best? Nope. Sorry. Those are mine.)

    I found your page by chance - clicked on your page after seeing what you posted on a message board about how to deal with hunger...by EATING - yes of course!! I LOVE WHAT YOU HAVE WRITTEN ON YOUR PAGE - I too have been all over the map - not in competition - but as a teen my lowest weight was around 119 - achieved through not eating and purging and diet pills...highest weight was a few years back - 267. Now I am healthily shedding pounds - down to 219 - aiming for a healthy goal - but flexible to see where my body wants to stay. In general spark is a healthy place where people are trying to lose slowly and gain strength and health...but sometimes people start to get carried away and play little tricks with the food.. I hope you do some blogging!!
