Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and warm wishes for success on your journey.

Here's my daily focus to keep me engaged, inspired, and motivated!

My Plan of ACTION!

I feel FANTASTIC, full of VITALITY and JOY! I age WELL by being healthy, confident, strong, flexible, curious, and connected to others. I lovingly ACCEPT my true self at each stage of my journey. I eat good-for-me foods and exercise to NOURISH my body and mind. My goal WEIGHT is a toned 145 lbs.

I choose foods WISELY. I consciously and slowly EAT SMALL meals each day, spaced about 2 hours apart. Each meal contains LEAN protein and complex carbohydrates. I DRINK at least 8 cups of WATER throughout the day. I consistently get between 1500 and 1800 total calories daily. I easily TAKE OFF 1-2 lbs each week.

I am intentionally ACTIVE 6 days per week and have FUN at it! I do CARDIO 15-60 minutes 6 days a week. I STRENGTH train 3 days a week. I concentrate on FLEXIBLITY 2 days a week. I do a brief stretching routine 7 days a week. I frequently change my cardio, strength, and flexibility exercises to keep my muscles confused and my mind amused.

I KNOW I can do this! I will SUCEED in reaching my goals. I am PREPARED. I am COMMITTED to my health and well-being. For each pound lost, I walk my journey with a LIGHTER step. Per August Wilson, playwright: "As my spirit got bigger, my demons got smaller." I EMPOWER myself to continue making progress each day. I read my plan of action twice daily and STICK to it.

About Me:
I'm a smart, creative, happily married 40-something with a sunny outlook on life living in a rainy location (the Pacific Northwest). I started out as a chubby baby put on skim milk for weight loss, and have never lost it. Weight and stress of many kinds ruled my life for too many years. But no more!

I've now on my quest to lose my "fat coat"--a journey to discover a healthy, strong inner AND outer me.

--- ~~~ ----
I'm not sure where my "sweet spot" of weight, fitness, and feeling good is...yet. This is a journey to discover how much I can improve!

Guidelines for my target for my height & build:

BMI: 18.5-24.5 (121-164 lbs)
Height/weight: 140-154 (large frame)

1/21/09 "avocado" shape at .84=moderate health risk

The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins. --Bob Moawad

The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me. -Ayn Rand, The Fountainhead

“When we are sure that we are on the right road there is no need to plan our journey too far ahead. No need to burden ourselves with doubts and fears as to the obstacles that may bar our progress. We cannot take more than one step at a time.”

"Journeys, like artists, are born and not made. A thousand differing circumstances contribute to them, few of them willed or determined by the will-whatever we may think.”
