I am a 43 year old mother of two. I am trying to get into really good shape before my health and age get the better of me. I used to work full time and my hectic schedule seemed to be my biggest enemy. I am trying to change my bad habits, like going to bed late, eating poorly, etc.

I joined SP in 2006. I started my serious weight loss and exercise program in May 2006. I really could not have accomplished my goals without SP. I got down to 140 and my measurements were great. I bought a size 6 pair of jeans.

My father passed away in the fall of 06. I had done so well, achieving my goals , but I decided to spend more time with Dad. Time was growing short. Once he died I helped take over his business and the small hiatus turned in to one and a half years. So, now I am back on SP.

UPDATE: 05/26/10 - I had to go back to work for about 6 months. I gained much weight from the stress and busy lifestyle. So, I have decided to start again. I plan on losing the weight gradually through eating 2 raw meals a day and one regular meal with my family if needed. If possible, I will consume as much fresh fruit and vegetables as possible. I want a nutrient rich diet full of all the vitamins and minerals I can get. I have taken up walking and doing yoga either in class or on my Wii. I started this week and feel really good.

I am now going to begin to eat clean and get an exercise regimen I can live with forever.

So, my goals are to make this a lifestyle. Healthy Eating & Exercise.

Accomplishments in 2008:

Loss of 16 inches since 5/5/08 & almost 10 pounds.

My Goals:
New Goal:
Lose 43 pounds by Dec 31, 2008 (140 lbs) & start fencing again.

Past Goals:
140 by 02/25/07, when I leave for a business trip

Under 150 by Aug 27 (2006) - YES!

At or below 140 by Oct 6 - I made it to 142

At or below 135 by Nov 1 - things went off course for me. I took care of my father for his final weeks of life.


My Program:
5x week cardio, 3x week strength training, healthy food, drinking a lot of water.
no caffeine.

    Hi there! Thanks for the comment AND the add! Your motivation for getting healthy, is the exact same one I had. I knew time was ticking and I used the fact that I would be in my mid 40`s and unless I acted fast..the ol menopause may just suddenly decide to strike and I would have been sunk! LOL But whatever it takes to makes us get the job done,,right?! emoticon
