Hi.. am from Southern Manitoba here. I was looking for a calorie counter and a community.. and hoping for a free website.. wow am glad I found Sparkpeople.. what a great website :)

Unlike people who run 10 miles today because they should have run two yesterday, "2 Steps Forward" doesn’t necessarily mean doing a lot more to make up for a blunder. Just make a commitment to do things as right as possible as much as you can. Quoted from 1 Step Back, 2 Steps Forward Motivational Article

“Sow a thought, reap an action. Sow an action, reap a tendency. Sow a tendency, reap a habit. Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow your character and reap your destiny.” (Thanks Nita :))

I guess you can say I'm a newlywed :) Me and my hunk got married November 27, 2010

Fitness Minutes: 7,598

My Goals:
My goal is to go from 218 lb to 140 lb
My goal is to not give up, even if I go backwards. And so, here I am, I've gone back some, but I've NOT given UP!

My Program:
28 Day Challenge
I want to:

1. do a minimum 30 minutes of cardio 5 times per week
2. one bootcamp exercise video every day
3. track my food - I now have a computer! woo hooo!
4. focus on my abs a minimum of two times per week
5. drink at least 4 cups of water per day - I know 6 is better, but right now, 4 is more than what I am doing, and I'm going for consistency, then increase later
6. Measure myself, and track my measurements and weight once a week (will have to buy a measuring tape as I can't seem to find mine :s)

I hope you are all doing well
Go Sparkers! and God bless.

    Hi Blue,
thanx for stopping by my page and especially for the encouraging message. I am grateful for the pound per week, but if you knew how hard I am working out, you would think it would be coming off faster too.

You're right too...I am definitely gaining muscle. I look different. I am stronger and fitter. My endurance is up too. I know that I am eating enough and staying in my calorie range, but I just wanted to be further to goal by now. I am not going to make it to goal on my birthday (June 19th - to weigh 140) but I must keep my eye on the goal anyway.

Thanks again. I am really happy that your husband is gonna do this with you as the support you will provide each other is a great tool for success.

    Good luck sweetie!

Thanks so much for reading and commenting on my blog. I have good days and bad, thankful more good than bad because of the Lupus. We all need breaks once in a while and you shouldn't feel guilty if that is what your body is telling you to do! Hugs, Teri
