Hi! I'm Ashley. I joined Sparkpeople back in 2007 after talking to a dietitian at my college wellness center. With the support of other Sparkers, along with finding a fitness routine that worked for me and eating the right foods and portions, I got down to my lowest weight since high school (137 lbs) for my wedding in 2011. Annnd, then my weight went right back up. I'm ready to find my happy weight and work on maintaining it by restoring the necessary balance in my life once again.

Well, that certainly is some awesome motivation to get fitter, that's for sure! :-) You got this!

Ohhh man, I have zero coordination, but Zumba is so fun!! It really all depends on the instructor 100% though, so if the instructor you tried was awful then it is easy to get lost. I SO want to try Jazzercise too, but all of the places around me are ridiculously expensive and at weird times that don't match my work schedule. :( Bummer. But maybe one day I will make it to a class. :)

Ha ha! I think I was just in the lead for August for Fitness Minutes. I have nooo idea how that happened. ;-)

Glad to see ya back on here, for realsies! Haha. Do you have any fitness/nutrition goals, or are you pretty much maintaining what you have been doing on your own?

    Happy Tuesday!!

Hey Ash, so great to have you back again.

    I know it's a crazy move isn't it?

I was there in April/May for a visit in London & Paris. My brother has been in London the last 5 years with his GF. My mom is British, so it made getting UK citizenship relatively easy (just long application waits). I had been thinking of making a change for the last couple of years, life in Vancouver is nice, but safe and stagnant. Anyway, I also met a boy in London while I was there & we hit it off. It was like the final push to make this move over. He's been over to Canada twice since we met & we've been doing the long distance daily thing in between & we decided to go for it. I don't know how long I'll stay in London or Europe, but at least with dual citizenship I have a lot of flexibility to live wherever, and luckily have a very portable career.

I will be working as a nurse in London as well, I've been a RN since 1999. Although I'm from Montreal, I've never heard of CAE! I didn't realize that's what you're doing for work!
