I have been tracking my personal progress here over several years. I signed up in 2007. Made progress then dropped off. I came back in 2008, 2009 and 2010 with the same pattern of making progress and then dropping off my plan. In the meantime, I divorced, changed states, changed careers, saw my son be married and had some real health scares.

Now in 2012 I weigh the most I've ever weighed at 215 pounds. Makes me wish I was British - where they measure differently. It's easier to say 15 stone or 97 kg than to say 215 pounds.

It's as if the harder I try, the farther from my goals I get. Oh wait? Did you just see what happened there? I actually called not setting S.M.A.R.T. goals "working harder." Oops! Denial, huh? So now I'm gonna set specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely goals.

I'll do my best. And every day that I wake up I will work on that day's goals. Keeping it very simple right now to build momentum. The goals may be simple, but I want to prevent getting discouraged. I want to stay on track this time. And really the biggest goal for me is to get healthy then to STAY healthy. But I want it in 9 months. Is that too much to ask??

Goal 4: Get to 145

I am using the Spark trackers and tools to keep track of nutritional needs and goals.

I am tracking everything for accountability. By noting everything it helps me to stay focused.

It seems to keep me motivated when I read nutrition and fitness books and articles. So I've been feeding that well.

    I am so glad that you are back, missed you my friend. I have a long way to go myself , I quit for awhile and need to start again just being not taking care of myself. I pray that you are doing well and are happy. How is the family? And I love the photos. Love Ya!!!!
