Hi, I'm Dana from Delaware - I'm 24, happily married to a USAF crew chief ( ;) ) and have 3 1/2 year old identical twin sons.

I recently had RNY Gastric Bypass surgery (1.6.10) for a few reasons - the main reason being for the health of my back. I've had many slip and falls, MVAs, and so on and so forth and have been in a bad spot painwise since I was about 20. I've tried every different kind of treatment you can think to help my Degenerative Disc Disease, herniated disc, and Fibromyalgia. I've been on pain meds since 20 and haven't had one since the day of surgery! The pain is still there, but it's more managable than I thought it would be.

As of February 2011, I am much smaller than I can ever remember being, weighing somewhere between 150-155lbs. I have such a big pooch from my twin pregnancy and losing over 90lbs that I'd still like to continue to work out and lose weight and try to get rid of as much extra skin on my stomach, under arms, and thighs as possible. I've had so much success with this surgery and if I could only offer one word for my experience, it would be 'life-altering'!

My Goals:
I had RNY Gastric Bypass on January 6, 2010. On the date of surgery I weighed 228. My first weigh-in 4 days later I'd lost 9lbs already!

A little over a year later, I'm weighing between 150-155lbs.

I'd like to see myself down at my normal weight - something I've never been! 120#.

My Program:
After having RNY-GBS, I'm able to eat all foods I used to before, only in much more moderation. I stick with VERY high protein foods and aim for 70-100g/day. I *try* to get in as much liquids as I can, but some days I don't always make it.

Exercise: I'm STing 3+ times a week working on my arms, chest, and back, and use a mix of cardio to work on my abs, low back, butt, and thighs. I am also trying to get out and walk/run as much as possible as I would love to train for a 5k!
