Finding true strength within...and learning to wear it on the outside. I'm a fighter and not quitting this time.

I am 29 years old, stand 5' 2 1/2" short, and started losing weight when I was over 250lbs. I don't know my actual highest weight. I had/have a fear of the scale. Comparing my heaviest pictures against how I looked at 250lbs, I would venture a guess that my actual highest was around 300ish.

I am Starting over; FRESH & CLEAN.
A new slate. New goals, new all.

With every success, there is a story behind it. Here is my quick synopsis since I've been gone from SP.

2012- Changed careers from accounting to trucking. Within 4 months of my career change, my now ex-husband cheated on me, left me, and kicked me out with nowhere to go and no way to get there. I was devastated but knew my life wasn't over. I bought a car and moved in with family.

2013- Started trucking for an out of state company and began getting my health and finances in order. This entire year was spent rebuilding myself. I shattered my arm, wrist and hand at work and was out of work and then on light duty for 6 months.

2014- I moved to Massachusetts to be closer to work and realized I needed to start working toward my goal of fighting MMA. I joined a martial arts academy and started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and working with a personal trainer. I lost a ton of weight and was doing awesome until extreme financial hardship happened and everything halted.

So here we are in 2015...

January- Rejoined my regular gym & started working with a personal trainer & nutritionist. Attended some BJJ classes as well. Lost 10lbs this month!

February- Broke my arm again at work... not medically cleared to train OR go to work. Still managed to lose 10lbs this month though!

March- I returned to work and training...First month in almost a year that I was at my BJJ academy enough to test for another stripe on my belt. I didn't really lose any weight this month but lost a zillion inches.

April- I increased my BJJ training to 4x a week, working with my personal trainer 3x a week and a nutritionist weekly. I've signed up for my first BJJ competition for May and am trying out new boxing gyms in the area.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is standing in my way of achieving my goals this time. This time, I am on my own and won't stop until I reach all of my goals.

I am SICK & TIRED of falling off the wagon.. and slowly getting back on to only fall off again. There is no better motivator than yourself, but sometimes it is nice to have a network of friends who are right there beside you to cheer you on.

    Wow! Looks like you've been tackling your goals again this year! Good for you. I'm just coming back again after having my baby, surprisingly I'm starting at a smaller weight than before I left.. but that's because I had a lot of health issues. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing your continued progress and congrats on getting to onederland! emoticon
