Welcome to my little corner of SP!

I was a distance runner (800-3k) and swimming pool junkie in high school, and in college stayed active through Marching Band, intramurals, and TaeKwonDo. Overall, my weight didn't do as bad as others through college; it crept from 165 to 175.

In 2004 and 2005 I did my first (and currently, only) triathlons. After 'settling down' (The Job, The Husband) my activity level dropped, and my weight crept up to 185. I knew I needed to do something to nip it in the bud, so I joined my local Weight Watchers. Three days later we learned our little one was on his way, so I canceled my membership.

I gained 50 more pounds during the pregnancy, topping out at about 230 pounds.

After DS arrived, my weight loss was mostly steady. In September, Weight Watchers at work started, and I was below my pre-pregnancy weight (176) and wanted the extra guidance.

The session ended 12/2008, and I lost a total of 12.4lbs on plan, down to 164. I learned a lot about how much junk I eat and how far I have to go to improve! It's also new to me how little I really need to eat... and how much damage my emotional/bored eating does.

Eventually I wouldn't mind getting down to 135; I see a lot of professional tri'ers running lean and mean at that weight for my height. At this point, I'm a little scared of going that low and would be quite happy getting to 155 and staying there a long while.
