I am retired because of an injury, in 2012. I joined a gym in October of 2014 and have lost 20 pounds since. I have 50 more pounds to lose. I love working out and sweating, I feel like I've accomplished something.
I have dogs at home and a husband of 21 years. I love to garden and then can what I've grown, nothing like a fresh tomato.
Working out has made me feel so much better and has changed my health already.

Fitness Minutes: 153,139

My Goals:
I joined Planet Fitness on October 8, 2014 weighing in at 220. On January 1, 2015 I weighed 199.
I want to lose 5 pounds a month with my weigh ins on the 8th of the month.
By my birthday this year, December 12th, I want to weigh 145 and have a 26" waist again. My triglycerides will lower themselves with all the weight loss and healthier eating.


My Program:
I have been tracking my food for some time now, it helps me to see problem times and times to be rewarded.
I have been glued to the treadmill and loving it. I push everyday to exceed my calories burned and miles walked.



Personal Information:
After retiring and having 3 surgeries on my neck, I was working with a pain management doctor. We finally found a medication that helped reduce my pain without KO-ing me. All the meds and laying around for a few years caused my triglycerides to ski to over 1300. I was 52 and on my way to a stroke, fast. My weight was out of control, 236 on a 6'-1" small boned frame. Motivation!


Other Information:
I love old movies, black and white with Bette Davis are the best. My husband and I love to cook together and have enjoyed the changes in our menu.
