Beth is Getting Healthy!
I'm here to do what I can to feel better: less pain, more energy, and a more positive outlook. I am a 46 year-old stay-at-home-mom. I have two active, sporty boys and a husband who likes to stay busy, so I want to be able to keep up. I'm 5'2" and started at 196 in the middle of January, 2015. I'm over halfway to my goal of 135 (this is a high healthy BMI, so I might go lower), and I am very pleased that I have gotten this far in changing my lifestyle forever. I'm here to do what I can to feel better: less pain, more energy, and a more positive outlook. I am a 46 year-old stay-at-home-mom. My Goals:
Healthier and happier.
More energy.
Less complaining and missing out.
I think living a healthier lifestyle and taking control of things I've let slide will help me feel better, which will then make me happier.
I also want to avoid adding health problems related to obesity, like Type II Diabetes, to my collection.
My Program:
Balanced eating:
Following SparkPeople recommendations for calories and ratio of nutrients, including fiber, and more freggies and lean protein.
More activity and actual exercise.
Drinking more water.
Personal Information:
I live in central Oklahoma (a transplant from Texas). I have two boys (GR12 and GZ10) who keep me busy watching sports.
Chronic health issues interfere with my level of activity.
Other Information:
I love to read.
I love to photograph flowers, birds, and my boys playing sports.
I like to do paper/pen puzzles.
