Hello, my name is Marsha. I'm married to a wonderful guy and we've been blessed with 4 beautiful children. I love to read, play the piano, and do paper crafting. I lost 35 pounds in 2012; felt depressed about not losing more in 2013, although I maintained my weight; relaxed my healthy lifestyle efforts after that due to returning to work and pouring my effort into other things which resulted in me gaining back most of what I lost. It's now January 2016 and I am returning to Spark People with the hope I can find the motivation to consistently work towards better health. I want to lose weight, of course, but I'm also hoping to learn to celebrate maintaining my current weight as that alone takes consistent effort and will be a start in the right direction.

My motto is going to be "Press Forward" which comes from a couple of scriptures. Although they refer to pressing forward to reach eternal benefits, I find them to be fitting for reaching my health goals as well. Here are the key phrases I will try to internalize to help me keep going:

2 Nephi 31:20
Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope... Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, shall have [health].
