I forgot to tell you that i did delete my blogs, after printing them out so I could keep the comments. The comments made me feel immediately better. Really, I was okay within hours, so I guess I wasn't as down as I had thought. I could tell that people were really worried about me, and I kept getting worried comments, so I thought it might be better to move on.

Thank you so much for your kind words about the blogs, Betsy. Your support means a lot to me.

I hope you have a very good week and can spend some time outdoors and you have the kind of weather that makes you feel alive!

Betsy, I'm so touched by your comments on my blogs. I know you understand because I do recall that you've suffered from the same malady. And as I write this, I realize that you have worked hard to overcome these rough times--you're an athlete! You are always on the move, and I'm sure that helps. I have used my arthritic pain as an excuse not to get out there, but when I think of you with your ankle problem still swimming, running, biking, and hiking--I'm really sparked. Someone suggested exercise as an antidote, and I've always known that's true, but you are living proof, and that inspires me to follow in your footsteps (or slipstream).

Thank you for your friendship and support.

Betsy, I'm glad to hear from you and to see from your blog that you are well and happy. I just can't believe how incredibly in-shape you are to do that 25-mile event! That must feel so good to have done that.

Things are fine over here in Japan, too.

emoticon Merry Christmas Going through my Spark Friend List. Glad you are doing well. Let's start fresh and make 2019 the best year ever. There is no one else who will do it for us, and we deserve to be healthy and fit. emoticon

Priscilla Patrick taught YOGA on PBS TV for many years. I think she has clips still on YouTube. She is about 75 now. She was 5'6" and 112# as she said staying slim helped her back. She has 3 children. She was in a car accident and was in horrible pain back in about 1970 in Okinawa where her husband was an Air Force officer. The doctors told her they couldn't help her but one said "Try the local Yoga Master out in town and he might help you." She did and six weeks later she was pain free. She said it sold her on a life of YOGA. She then was asked to do a 15 minute YOGA show on the local base TV and from there she got into teaching and later came back to the States to open her own studio in South Carolina and become well known in the area.
