Hello! I have been overweight my whole life and have always felt sub-par because of my weight. My whole family is overweight. It is a constant worry with me that something is going to happen to a family member (especially, heaven forbid, my mother) because of their obesity and subsequent health problems. I want to make changes so that my child doesn't have to go through the struggles and health concerns that plague me. I am here because I want to connect with people who are on a similar journey to mine. I want to be accountable. I have tried to do this journey several times in the past, but this time things seem to be clicking. I want to keep clicking!

I want to look and feel better. I want to look in the mirror and see the person my husband sees when he looks at me. I want to be able to shop anywhere and be comfortable in my own skin. I want the real me to finally be able to shine through. I want to be able to look at a challenge and think, "Yeah, let's go for it!" instead of ,"I'll probably fail because of my weight and look stupid if I try that." I want to teach my child good eating and activity habits.

I am trying to eat only when I'm hungry and make smart decisions about what I am eating. I am also trying to exercise every day. I have completed the C25K app, and I am continuing to run 3 times a week. On the other two week days, I do 45 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength training.

I live in TN. I am married to the most wonderful man I could ever imagine. We've been married since 2006. We had our first child in August 2012. He is the absolute light of our lives.

I am excited for the possibilities of what weight loss will allow in my life.
