I've been plump since I was about 8, with a brief foray into the world of slimness when I was about 20. The big pounds came on during my pregnancy with twins twenty years ago. I haven't been in One-derland since the days of nursing twins - and they are 26 now, so it's been a while!

I lost over 50 pounds in 2006-2007, but put on over 30 in 2008, a year fraught with disappointments. I continued to gain in 2009. There have been other ups and downs since then.

I want to make good health choices a priority one day at a time, starting today. I am keeping track of my calories now. I have a good idea how weight loss is done, since I've done it before. It's the consistency and commitment that are hard.

May God help us all as we strive to develop healthier, more positive eating and movement habits!

My Goals:
To feel better in my body again.

To make wise choices about food, exercise, and time management regardless of how I feel about it at the time.

To help other people learn to overcome fear, anxiety, depression, etc., through writing, spiritual growth, art, and other good things!

My Program:
Aerobic videos or walking at least 15 min. 5 or more times a week. Build up to 30 min. workouts

Weight training two times a week.

Eat vegetarian, as natural as possible. Sensible portions. Am currently detoxing from sugar for the month of January, 2016.

Weigh every Monday morning and track progress. Check blood pressure, too, and track progress.

Personal Information:
Work as a DSP (caregiver for people with developmental disabilities.) Have a BS in Special Education and a MTh in Christian Counseling. Mother of four and happy wife for 28 years. Homeschooled the kids, but am done with that. Play the guitar and write songs.
Trying to blog and write more and hope to someday do speaking or teaching.
