As a mother of two quickly approaching 40, I am looking to lose the baby weight I gained after my second. My hope is to have it gone by the time my maternity leave is over at the end of April. Excercise has never been a priority of mine, but with the changes in my metabolism I have come to the conclusion that if I want the body I used to have in my 20's, I am going to need to hit the treadmill!!

Apr 2011 - Well, mat leave is at an end as I have decided to go back earlier than expected. I am 5.9 pounds away from my goal of pre-pregnancy weight by May 1. I had a set back in March when I put my back out and couldn't walk for a couple of days. But I am now back on track and ready to kick it in April! My goal is 5 pounds in April (tough but doable if I stick to my goals). It would be awesome to be back in the 130's again and I am so close I can taste it!

Aug 2011 - June and July were difficult months, but even though I struggled and didn't make the leaps and bounds headway I had hoped for, I did still make progress. I am at 136 pounds as of this morning. That puts me at -1 pound from Pre-Pregnancy weight (baby #2). I had hoped to have been out of the 130's by now, but I didn't hit the treadmill as hard as I needed the last 6 weeks to make that happen. I still have about 3 pounds to go to get to pre-baby#1-pregnancy weight, and 10 pounds till my next goal weight. I know how I want to do this, now its just a matter of making it happen!

Nov 2011 - It has happened! I am under 130 for the first time in 5.5 years (before babies even). Somehow it snuck up on me and BAM, there it is! So now what? I still have my goal weight of 119 pounds to reach. At 5'1", that is a reasonable, healthy weight and my priority focus right now! I had wanted to hit that for my first Sparkversary, but I don't think that will be doable. Dec 27 is just too close right now to even consider it. But 5 pounds is doable. So time to adjust my end of year goals, reset my calorie intake levels and go after it!! I have BEEN doing it, so there is no CAN anymore, it is a WILL!

April 2012 - I have been maintaining my weight now for several months. I have not yet reached goal weight, but also have not increased. I am struggling with what to do next. The drive to lose weight has gone, I am sitting at a size 4, and that is smaller than I have been in a long time. I am wearing clothes that feel great and look great. I get compliments on a daily basis. But at the end of the day I am still 27% body fat. I would love to see that move, but am unsure at this point in how to do that... For now perseverance on this path that I have chosen.

March 2013 - Well I am back and ready to go. Things have been hectic over the last year and although I didn't gain more than 5 pounds, I did fall back into other old habits. The biggest being not being active... So now it is time to get back into shape. I am going to start off slow, 3-4 times a week and see how that goes, but I want to ramp back up to 5-6 a week.

To be physically fit. I want to lose about 10 - 15 more pounds, but ultimately being fit is the goal.

My Program:
Workout 3 - 4 times a week. Right now I am doing a 60 minute bootcamp 2 times a week and a 45 minute work sponsored fitness class once a week.

Personal Information:
I am just shy of 40 and a mother of 2 beautiful girls and have been married to a wonderful man for over 8 years. We live in western Canada and are both IT professionals.

    Hey Sabrina! Are you just not entering "Feb. minutes" (assuming they're fitness minutes) or do you need someone pushing you? Let me know what you need, girl, and I'm so there! Jessica and I started a private forum and have kept up team challenges since M2W dropped them. If you're up for a challenge and can seriously dedicate yourself (as shown in a tracker), then we would consider you for membership emoticon If not and you're going at your own pace and need a GO GIRL!, then you know who to call, ok? emoticon

    Thanks for the Spark Goodie, that was very sweet! I hope your day does get better and less stressful.
    Whenever I have a bad day I just try to keep in the back of my mind that the day is almost over and tomorrow we'll start all over! Sometimes it doesn't work (I drive for a living so depending on the traffic that doesn't help either) :)
