Thanks for visiting my Spark page! I recently retired from a wonderful 30 year career in elementary education. In addition to teaching, I have also been designing and selling jewelry for nearly 25 years. My jewelry is available online, at my website, and in local shows. I am looking forward to devoting more time to this pursuit now that I am retired. I also love travel, reading, floral arranging,cooking and spending time with friends and family. I've been married to my best friend for 37 years and we have 2 adult children and a baby grandson. My initial goal is to loose 10% of my body weight, which would put me at 190 lbs. My Goals:
First Goal: To button my size 18 pants. I can zip them, but not button them without asphyxiating myself!

Loose 10% of my starting weight.

To reduce my BMI to 29.9, (no longer obese)

To wear size 16 pants!

My Program:
Make healthy food choices. Stay under 1,800 calories. Work on portion control. Track all that I eat.

Move more: taking walks, practicing yoga, swimming, riding horseback, cleaning house--whatever gets me off the couch!

Get 7-8 hours of sleep at night.

Personal Information:
I recently retired and so we're in a new stage of life and I want to be healthy enough to enjoy it!

I have a number of health conditions. Most can't be "cured", but all will improve with weight loss and exercise!

    I LOVE MY NEW BOOTS! And I'll use them often! :o) Keep posting and start with teensy little baby steps! What is the first thing you want to challenge yourself with? Water? Exercise? (Like 15 minutes of ON-PURPOSE exercise a day) Logging your food?

    Pick one and let's go for the next 3 days - Saturday, Sunday, and Monday! I'm going to pick water, since exercise is out because of my back and I'm not going to start logging til Sunday.

    Hi friend! Thank you for your words :) My health is fine, apart from the weigt gain, lol! Thank you for asking. Now, if you're talking about mental health, ha ha ha ha that's another story!
