I have been a member of Sparkpeople now for a few years now and my habits are definately changing for the better, but with some 'blips'. I am glad I have joined the community to assist me in my lifestyle change journey.

It's funny that we "know" whats right and wrong when it comes to nutrition, we just dont practice it everyday like we should. I am now "practicing" what I 'know' instead of just talking about it.

I initially lost 38 lbs with the assistance of medication, SparkPeople Community however have stopped the medication adn tracking my foods....and over the last 6 months put on over 10 lbs. I had been feeling better physically and emotionally and understand that my journey is a lifelong one, not an overnight "fix". I am getting myself back on track and focused back on ME.

I read a lot of the blogs and obtain inspiriation to keep moving and make the lasting changes and I appreciate all the inspiration and motivation that SparkPeople has provided me....I look forward to continueing my journey with you all!!

My Goals:
1. Loose 50 lbs total
2. Maintain the loss
3. Reduce my total Debt

My Program:
Reducing/phasing out soda.
Watching all portions of my meals and snacks.
Going to Gym 4-5 days a week with strength training 3 of those days.

Personal Information:
I am originally from MO and moved to FL 7 years ago and LOVE IT HERE!! Im currently in a relationship with a great guy who has 2 girls....I love to fish, play disc golf, anything outside and the Tampa Bay Rays!!

    Well, finally got off my butt and took the dog for a long over do walk, figured sitting feeling for sorry for myself wasnt getting me no where!! very cold out and dreary today here, only 45degrees, and calling for a winter storm tonight, 8inches of more dam snow!ughhhhh was so glad to see it gone, hope you are having a greatday yourself! I have subscribed to a few magazines lately too, one called Oxygen, has a lot of clean eating recipes and lots of tips on exercising, and I also am getting Shape, its really nice to have something to look forward to every month to read, and it helps in the motivation department!! emoticon emoticon

    Thanks for the pep talk... it was much needed. I told myself that if we do end up visiting my mother in law once a month, that I would pack myself decent snacks and food or else I'll just have to spend some money at the Wal-Mart near by. I know I would feel better about it.

    Good for you on doing the Relay for Life. I participated in the Virtual Race on here... I did the walking 5K yesterday. I am planning to do another one at the end of June. I am hoping to do a virtual 10K at the end of the summer (crossing my fingers).

    I was in the same boat as you last week... I had a MD three days in a row. Soda is something that we have to gradually stop drinking, but there are some that are just too good to quit drinking. I know you can do it. I just tell myself at least it's not everyday, all day. All we can do is start over!
