I love everything Italian - the food, the people, the food, the art, the food, the architecture, the food, the wine, the food. I think you get the picture - and that's why I chose the name "BastaPasta" which means ENOUGH PASTA!

I found this site while visiting a travel site planning another trip to -you guessed it, Italy. I would love to be comfortable having my picture taken in my favorite places instead of being camera shy because I am so uncomfortable with the way I look in pictures.

My Goals:
My goal is to be comfortable in my body once again. I have three wardrobes - ideal, acceptable, and the dreaded fat clothes. Well - even the fat clothes are stretching at the seams right now. My first goal is to get into the acceptable wardrobe.

Perhaps if I get to that point I will readjust my goal and aim for the ideal wardrobe.

I have one outfit that I have kept for about 20 years - I wore it when I was at my best. Although it is dated and I wouldn't wear it in public, I save it as my measuring stick and use it as my goal outfit.

Besides the outside appearance, which is really secondary, my main goal is to get healthy, feel less tired all the time, and to try to reverse some bad results of years of poor eating habits.

My Program:
I am following the SP diet that was suggested - not the exact foods, but trying to stay within the calorie and nutrition suggestions. I have good intentions on the exercise program as well, but so far it's been hit or miss. My bad.

Personal Information:
I have two wonderful grown sons, and two adorable granddaughters who all unfortunately live many, many miles away and I don't get to see them often enough. I am married to a super kind and supportive hubby.

Other Information:
We love to travel and are passionate about learning the history of the places we visit. We are real foodies (surprise, surprise) and our itineraries normally list more foods we have to try than sites to see. Surprisingly though, weight isn't gained while traveling because we walk so much. Just realized that must be the key. If only I could have the same motivation at home. Guess I'll have to start travelling more, right!?? I wish.
