Thanks to SP, I know how to lose weight. And CLEARLY, I know how to gain it.

I hit my goal of "fit at 40". I even felt okay wearing a bikini. But I should have been more specific with myself ... something like "fit and fab at 40 AND BEYOND". : ) Here's to making the connection that this is a new way of life, not a means to an end.

I've yo-yo'd in a 10-lb range each of the last 5 years since joining SP. And while I've never hit my starting weight again I've also never stayed at my lows for more than a month. It seems I come back to SP once a year to get back on track.

I'll keep working at this -- at making it a consistent lifestyle -- but for now I'm back for my tune-up...

SP History

Spring 2009: I lost 19 lbs and was, truly, "feeling great at 38". Then I fell off the wagon and missed my second goal of "looking fine by 39".

Spring 2010: Since last summer, I've regained 7 lbs and an inch around my hips. Guess I've yo-yo'd for the first time. Let it be the last. My new goal is to be "fit and fabulous by 40".

Late 2010: Let's try this again. I know the real goal has to be a lifestyle change resulting in a stable, healthy weight. Maintenance will be an entirely new challenge. But first, I'd really like to be as fit as possible when I see 40 candles on the cake.

Other Information:
I'm 5'7" (and a 1/2", but I've never rounded up. It's tempting when playing with BMI calculators... but this way I have some wiggle room when I start shrinking.) : )

Thought I'd share because I'm always curious how tall other SPers are.
