In 2013, after maintaining a 50 pound weight loss for 2 years but not being able to get any lower and having regained 10 lb I completed a 26 week hospital sponsored program that includes 12 weeks on Optifast. In the process I lost another 50 lbs and have been maintaining for the last year.
Now the weight is begining to creep back up again (only 8 or 10 lbs, but we all know where that leads, so it's time to get serious again.
As a lifetime dieter who's relapsed and seen others do so, I'd love to talk to people who've used the product, lost their weight an kept it off - or not. If you've gained the weight back and are still here, maybe we can help each other figure out how to get to where we want to be and stay there.

My Goals:
I want to lose at least 50 more lb. and then keep it off while generally getting healthier.

My Program:
Finished a 26 week Optifast and re-education plan in the fall of 2013. Now maintaining with food logging and occasional short programs of Optifast. Long term plan is to repeat a longer term Optifast program (6 to 8 weeks) to furter reduce my weight to below 200 lbs.

Personal Information:
I grew up in south western Ontario and moved to the Ottawa area 5 years ago. I have been overweight all my life but recently I find myself more and more fed up with the sore back and knees, the health concerns and the fact that those flights of stairs keep getting longer and longer as I get older. It's time to do something about it.

Other Information:
I've tried every diet in the book and have learned the hard way that there are no quick fixes. Being overweight is kind of like being an alcoholic. You have to do it one day at a time, every day for the rest of your life.
