Hi, My name is Mindy, and I am 30 years old. I am very overweight and tired of it. I spend hours a week researching ways to drop the pounds, but when it comes down to actually working out, I chicken out and stop before trying.
I get easily embarrassed if there is someone else in the same house as me when I start to work out, thus giving me the excuse to not do anything.
I found this website while searching for ways to help me, and I truly want to believe it will help me. I bought an mp3 player, I am going to put them into my ears, turn up the volume, and follow the videos and my coach to the best of my abilities.
Maybe I can drown out the world and make a difference in how I feel about myself.

My Goals:
The main goal I have set is to loose 100 pounds.
My fast break goal is to dance every day for one hour for one week.

My Program:
To meet my main goal I am doing the exercise videos SP provides, as well as dancing and counting my calories. I have joined a few teams and made a few friends.
I am leaving myself one hour of me time a day for dancing.

Personal Information:
I am from North Central Florida. But I have spent about 6 months with my Aunt in PA, when I was fresh out of high school. I mean no offense to anyone from the north when I say this, but the SNOW IS NOT FOR ME!!!
I do have a pet as well. River is a mixed breed dog, cute as can be and very loving. I adopted him from our local animal shelter as a gift to myself for Christmas last year. On Dec 11th I will have been his 'Mommy' for a year.

Other Information:
In the 9th grade of high school,I had to memorize this quote. Since then it has inspired me to do many things. I find it fitting to inspire me to better my lifestyle.

To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.

Thanks for your encouraging words.. I am trying to get back on track.. It is hard and a lot of time I look at how far I have to go instead of how far I have came. I definitely might take you up on that venting.. my job is very stressful and I eat when I am stressing.. I have to figure out something at work that will help me. Thanks again.
