I have goals. I'm going to be 60 in less than 100 days . . . and while, I'm 40 pounds lighter than when I was 50, I still want to keep on keeping on, so I'm writing these down:

By August 31 - 169
By Sept 30 - 164
By October 31 - 159
By November 30 - 154

This is my old introduction. See above for update - 7.31.11
Here I go again -- trying once more. But every time, I learn something new, and maybe this will be THE time when it all clicks. I certainly hope so.

My next goal is 20 pounds from January 1 = 186.
Met - 3/31/09 - 185.2

My next goal is 10 more pounds = 175.2

It's July 2009, and I have no idea what I weigh. And I don't think I care. I'll check again in August -- but for now, I'm just going to be mindful with my food -- and write it down.

My Goals:
I've avoided number specific goals for about 3 years now - but I think I have my disordered eating mind under control now, so here we go:

By August 31 - 169
By Sept 30 - 164
By October 31 - 159
By November 30 - 154

I want to be healthy. I want to have normal blood pressure and cholesterol. I want to quit having to worry about seeing the doctor and getting "bad" numbers.

I want to be faster on the tennis court.

I want to lost some body fat so that I can do a handstand in yoga.

I want to run a 5K before I'm 59 and a 10K before I'm 60. (Actually, I want to run a marathon by the time I'm 60, but let's start smaller!)

My Program:
It's July 2009, and it's time to track food -- not as an obsession -- but as a curiosity. What makes me feel good? What makes me sluggish? What am I eating . . . just to rebel and say, "I CAN EAT ANYTHING?"

I know what my body needs, and what my mind wants . . . and I can satisfy both.

Personal Information:

Other Information:
2010 Goals:

6. Clean one drawer or closet each month.
7. Jump rope for 5 minutes .
8. Get back to weight training.

Thanks for the comment on my status! Today I actually have tracked all my planned food thus far-- and I know what I'm making for dinner, too!

For lunch, I'm having half a portion of my Applebees 550 cal. Shrimp Teriaki pasta meal from a few nights ago. Filled with veggies, but on the high-sodium side. Also, 1 1/2 cups of fresh grapes. Snack this morning is a Quest protein bar (NOM!).

Dinner tonight... veggies (zucchini, squash, spinach, garlic, and tomatoes) with whole wheat pasta and a vegan "cheeze" sauce (from I'm excited!

What's on your eating plan today?

Thank you for the comment on my blog and the welcome to OMY. I'm really excited to try and stick with the program. I'm going to be taking a yoga class this semester in school and I'm thinking this will really help me in the long run. Congratulations on your weight loss so far. Keep up the great work! emoticon

Thank you for your kind comments. My experience thus far with online courses has been a good one. It poses certain dangers to chronic procrastinators - like myself - but overall, I find them an effective way to get survey courses over and done with, without having to completely alter my life in the process. (Or, rather, if I do have to alter my life... it's only for a week. haha.)
