Spark Start 1/22/2012. I am a wife and mother of 5 children, ages 6-16. I also work part-time as a RN. I have let myself go and let food rule my life. I enjoy being active and exercising, but haven't always made time for it in my life, that must change. I turn 40 this October, and want to start the next decade of my life in a positive manner, and also become a healthy role model for my children.

Every since I started having children, almost 17 years ago, I have battled my weight. I was successful at losing 50 lbs about 3 years ago, but then for some reason, let it come back, plus a few pounds. I need to get this part of my life figured out. I love this site. I used Weight Watchers primarily in the past for weight loss. I like their program, but getting to a meeting was always difficult. Then, if I knew I couldn't make a meeting for the week, I would sort of slack off until the next week. This is great because the support is always here 24/7. I will weigh myself in, and don't need to worry about missing a weigh in.

Anxious to get this really going, but also nervous to fail again. I have a good feeling about this though, so I am determined to make it last. I am doing this for me, no excuses, no looking back.

2/21/12 - First month results:
Weight: -8lbs
Bust -2in.
Wasit -3in.
Hips: -1in.
Arms: -1in. each
Legs -1in. each
Thighs: -1.5 in. each

My Goals:
1. Exercise 5-7 days/ week. 300 min or cardio/week
2. Track all food and enter in log.
3. Quit drinking diet Coke.
4. Reach goal weight of 140lbs.

Once I reach my first 15 lbs lost, I am going to reward myself with the Spark book. I love to read books, and hope it is a good one.

My Program:
I plan to track food daily, and add exercise back into my life. I plan to use this website as much as I am possible to keep me motivated.
I love to walk/jog on the treadmilll and would love to do a half marathon.
I also just bought a spin bike, so learning that and so far love it. I also have a collection of workout DVDs to call upon.
