Well today is a new day for me... I had been sitting at home for the last couple of weeks, tugging and pulling at my big stomach (pouch), trying to find ways to minimize my mild case of turkey neck, and trying to find ways to hide my severe case of back fat....

And nothing would work...Nothing satisfied me...No self-motivation speech, not buying larger clothes, or looser shirts... NOTHING worked... I came to the conclusion that I would have to make a real decision to either live with the weight gain or get rid of it. Well can you guess what my decision was.

The way I gained my weight:::

My father was my best friend, I was always with him and he was such an amazing person to me... When I was 11 he was imprisoned, and at that point my weight spiraled out of control. Depression attached to me like a leechworm, and I became an emotional eater. I begin to sneak food, put food under my bed...Order large pizzas and eat them, while I was locked in my room... As the years went on and I began dating, we would go out to eat every Friday to a resturant and every day we would eat 1-2 slices of little ceasers pizza. I became aware of what I was doing to myself and my mother and I relocated, and I began to work on my then size 16-18 body.. By the time I was a senior in high school I had lost weight and was happily wearing a 12-14...

Now:::

I am the mother of two amazingly beautiful twin girls (10 months)...And I have put back on the weight I had gotten rid of... So its back to the drawing board. This is going to be a really hard challenge I know...But with everything in me... I WILL get it done!

    Welcome to the EE team!!

    I’ve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, it’s a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!!

    Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success!

    ~~best of luck to you on all of your goals!!!

    I'm so very glad that you've joined the Emotional Eaters Team. The team is a place where you can vent. And where you will receive some awesome support. Of course, I am biased ... its my favorite team at SparkPeople! I hope you find exactly what you are looking for! Welcome to the team!

    Be sure to ask questions if you have them ... someone will likely have the answer. Use the tools SparkPeople provides. They are invaluable. If you feel an emotional eating attack coming on, come to the boards first. Write about it instead of pushing the feelings away with food. We're here for you!

    Eat well, journey well,
