I lost 28lbs with SparkPeople in the first half of 2007 (went from 195lbs to 167lbs), but spent the rest of the year maintaining, unsuccessfully, without SparkPeople. I've since put on almost all the weight, but am working to get back down.

Since then, it has been a struggle to keep the weight at bay, and I've gained all of it back and then some. I've had four babies since 2012, and I need to start making myself a priority again so I don't put myself in the "I'm just a Mom" box I've been in. I know I can do this!

I also have had a horrific year, with my husband slowly declining from what we now know is a rare form of dementia that strikes young people. He is 38, and now living in the memory care wing of an assited living facility.

My Program:
I am hoping to just stay diligent with tracking my calories, hopefully getting back to the gym as time allows, and gently build back into running once I drop 30lbs. I'd love to run a 5K again.

Personal Information:
Hi, I'm Amy! I'm 36 years old and married to my wonderful husband, Mark, who was sadly recently diagnosed with the behavioral variant of Frontotemporal Dementia. He is now living in an assisted living facility while I have become a single parent to four little kids, ages 6, 5, 2 and 1. We live in SW Minnesota where I work as a IS Application Developer.

I've struggled with my weight most of my life, but it has become more apparent (at least to me), since college days, when I was much more active. My sedentary job is partly to blame, but also my snacking. I'm working to reset my mind to stop mindless and stress eating. I feel bloated constantly and want to reduce that "full" feeling as well.
