PLEASE DO NOT SHARE ANY INFORMATION FROM THIS PAGE ON FACEBOOK!!!! KEEP SPARKPEOPLE PRIVATE FOR SPARKPEOPLE!

I'm a full-time working Mom, of two exceptional young men, whose major form of exercise was running upstairs for the forgotten socks. I joined SparkPeople because I NEED to make time for more sustained fitness. It's been an on again, off again thang in the time I've been on SparkPeople.

I was really gung-ho about walking when I started, which lasted until the weather turned bad. In the spring of 2010 I made the mistake of trying to run (my knees and feet didn't do well with the extra impact). The family spent the summer doing TKD, thanks to a "free" membership at a local black-belt factory, but we chose not to continue at their exorbitant prices once our initial term expired. I spent the fall and winter of 2010 back to another favorite activity courtesy of my younger son, who decided to learn to skate. I spent the last year or so of grad-school on the ice 4-6 hours a week learning to figure skate as an adult. I got bored and jealous standing on the sidelines, and signed myself up to skate too. But his interests shifted, and I spent Spring 2011 on the sidelines watching my older son running track and the younger playing Little League baseball.

In the fall of 2011, my younger son said "Mom, I want to try Karate again" so we went out and found a new Dojo. I once again got too jealous sitting on the sidelines, so have started training in Okinawa Kenpo alongside my son. Sensei is letting me and another one of the Dads tag along at the kids class, which is wonderful, since I just couldn't swing time outside of work and kids to get to an exercise class on my own.

Thank you again for reading my blog. I told my daughter to take him in with a list of meds to see if they could be the cause; so, I am glad you said that too. Now I have another person to back up my suggestion. He is such a wonderful little boy and he deserves the best that there is for him and more. I pray that it will be minor, maybe a change in meds but the way life is going right now, I just don't know. happy Channukah by the way!

Thank you for the goodie! A cup of tea would be nice. Thank you for reacing my blogs. Writing them has helped me or at least I think so. If I couldn't get the words out I don't know where I would end up.
