Decided to start back to weight training, its been something I've done off and on throughout my life. I am feeling good about how I feel after working out and eating right.i Have always watched what I eat and have eaten good whole foods. I was a vegetarian/ pescatarian for 6 years, till I realized it was not a diet that was good for me ( too many carbs), it was wrecking my health and I needed to eat meat. ( massive amounts of organic raw fruit and veggies gets pricey.) I did not want to, and still only eat it moderately. I found this ap and thought it would help me to monitor and count my food calories, so far I think it's fun! I practice meditation and like yoga. I live a pretty simple life, love art, animals, and the outdoors. I juice veggies and fruits and like to cook and bake. I have maintained the same weight for years and could eat without worrying about calories. But this last year my weight went up 15-20 pounds. I think it was stress and also the fact that there is Cuban coffee and pastries on every corner here in Miami. I do not like it when my clothes do not fit and have been buying smaller clothes, as I have been planning to loose like 25 lbs for a while now. I've learned a lot from several people on Utube, Liferegenerator, Dave the Raw Food Trucker, Mimi Kirk, Robert Morse and more. I've tried to go vegan, its a difficult road because it's quite expensive, but has many health benefits, I can say that incorporating as many raw organic fruits and veggies is the way to.go. Baby steps to give up processed and cooked food. I wanted to monitor my calories, protein, carbs and fat and its just too time consuming otherwise, so found this app. My weight is 220-222, but I'm tall 5'10, so I carry it well. My goal is to loose 50 pounds. I have not set a time, maybe I should, I'm just going to focus on muscle building and cardio and see where it takes me.
