I am a 35 year old mother of 2. I have a non-verbal autistic son. I want to lose weight and feel healthy. I am very motivated and feel like it is possible to accomplish anything if you are dedicated and put your mind to it. I want this to be a lifestyle change not a diet. I was told that my autistic son was severaly mentally retarded and wouldn't be able to do a lot.. He is now 11 and potty trained. He may not have any verbal words but he uses a picture exchange communication system in which he request what he wants with a stip and now uses attributes. I refuse to give up and there is always hope.
Sometimes it is hard trying to fit everything in but I believe all things are possible. My goal is to get down to the weight I was in middle school. It make take a while but I will not give up.

Fitness Minutes: 10,606

My Goals:
I would like to lose 40 more pounds. I want to feel comfortable with my weight and to be able to run a 9 min mile pace. I want to be happy and healthy. I have rheumatiod arthritis. I need to get at least 7 hours asleep a night and not beat myself up if I can't do some types of exercise.

My Program:
I am tracking all of my food. I try to keep everything within the ranges reccomended. I exercise everyday with a mix of jogging, stationary bike and Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I usually do 60mins of cardio each day and weight train three days a week.

Personal Information:
I live in Yuba City California. I am married and have two wonderful boys. I work part time as a para-educator with young autistic children and I am a big advocate for autism awareness.

    Hope you're doing better than me... 0/2 on tracking for 3 days. Wondering if I might go about it differently... will give it some thought today. Part of my trouble is I'm trying to spend less time on the web/computer. In order to make myself do that I have to turn the computer off and then it's a PITB to track on SP.

    How has it been since you got back home? Are you back on track? I hope so... it's hard to lose motivation but you'll feel so great when you're back in the groove! :)

    Day 1 down and half way through day 2! I like seeing my nutrient goals too. I always feel good when I know I am not only staying in control of calories and fat, but also vitamins. Thanks for the heart! Hope you are having a great week off! emoticon

    Thanks for the Welcome Mat, I needed that for my back door today, We had 3 tornado's in a row, all within a few hours. This is the first chance I've had to get on SparkPeople today (monday) only it is Tuesday 0n Spark. It's 11: 34 here in Ar. Gotta go to bed! emoticon
