I'm a college student from Missouri who loves music and writing and hopes to someday write for Rolling Stone. I also have met the love of my life and have been with him for two years now, we have talked about a wedding, but there is nothing in the works right now, we want to save up more money. The majority of my family has struggled with their weight and really haven't ever done anything about it other than take the easy way out and get surgery, but that's not the way I want to do things. I am going to work my butt off to look good when my two best friends get married and for when I get married someday. : )

My Goals:
I would like to get down to a size 10 in order to look fabulous in my best friends wedding in August. I also will be getting married in the next couple of years (no date set) and would like to find a dress that I love with a weight to compliment it. : )

My Program:
A good friend and I go to the gym four days a week, early in the morning to work out for an hour to an hour and a half. We also do classes through the gym 2-3 times a week. Classes such as SPIN, and AB BLAST. I am also counting calories and tracking my food intake with the online food journal found on SP.

I love music of all kinds, I guess you could say I'm an eclectic. : ) My favorites are Taking Back Sunday, Something Corporate, Brand New, Jack's Mannequin, etc.etc.etc.

I love to read, my favorite books are "The Time Travlers Wife", " Prince of Tides", and "Blue Like Jazz"

I'm hopelessly addicted to One Tree Hill, American Idol, and the Real World, and someday, I WILL BE ON THE REAL WORLD.

    Welcome to SparkPeople and welcome to the Find a Buddy group. We are happy to have you. This is a great site and a great group. We just started a new challenge which is getting in three exercise sessions a week. I think they are an hour each, which is building on our old challenges of consuming 5 fruits and veggies a day and 8 glasses of water. It seemed easy to begin with but has proven otherwise.

    I really love spin class. It is my saving grace. I only do classes at the gym. I can't motivate otherwise. I have found the key to losing weight and sticking with this is to do it your way, not try to fit into some strict set of rules that all you can think about doing is breaking them.

    So, welcome to this wondeful community. Take advantage of it.
